Admission Information for Citizens of a Member State of The European Union, of The European Economic Area and of The Swiss Confederation, Foreigners, Stateless Persons or Long-Term Residents
European Union, the European Economic Area and of The Swiss Confederation, Foreigners, Stateless Persons or Long-Term Residents citizens can apply for study programmes at the Technical University of Cluj-Napoca under the same conditions and on the same places as Romanian citizens.

The Technical University of Cluj-Napoca organizes a Preparatory year of Romanian Language for the Citizens of a Member State of The European Union, of The European Economic Area and of The Swiss Confederation, Foreigners, Stateless Persons or Long-Term Residents according to the accreditation granted by the Romanian Agency for Quality Assurance in Higher Education, by Order of the Ministry of National Education published in the Official Journal of Romania No. 680/06.08.2018.
All prospective students may choose to follow the Preparatory Year of Romanian Language organized by the Technical University of Cluj-Napoca, but taking this program is mandatory for those who wish to be accepted in a specialization program taught in Romanian.
This program is compulsory for the candidates who wish to access programs of studies offered exclusively in Romanian Language. Upon completion, the student receives a language certificate which grants them access to study programs in Romanian language. Upon completion of the Preparatory Year, students obtain a Certificate of Completion attesting Romanian language competencies at minimum B1 level, as defined by the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR). Based on this certficate, students may apply for university study programs conducted in Romanian.
